Two major forces in electronic music are joining forces for a brand-new industry gathering in Las Vegas.
Insomniac and Amsterdam Dance Event have announced Map Point Summit, a three-day conference dedicated to the future of electronic music, rave culture and the people building the scene behind the scenes.
Landing Between Two Weekends of EDC
The inaugural summit will take place at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in May 2027, positioned between EDC Dusk, running May 14–16, and EDC Dawn, scheduled for May 21–23.
The gathering is expected to bring together independent promoters, artists, creators, entrepreneurs and established industry professionals for educational sessions, workshops, conversations and networking.
Building What’s Next for Rave Culture
Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella unveiled the project during the 30th edition of Amsterdam Dance Event, where he spoke about the importance of protecting the grassroots spirit that helped build rave culture in the first place.
A major focus of Map Point Summit will be supporting independent promoters, sharing knowledge and creating opportunities for the next generation while developing a more sustainable global ecosystem for electronic music.
Even the name connects back to rave history. “Map points” were meeting locations used in the underground scene, where ravers would gather before receiving directions to secret parties. This time, the idea is being reimagined as a place to help people navigate their way through the modern music industry.
Exact summit dates, speakers, programming and ticket information have not yet been revealed, but more details are expected ahead of its Las Vegas debut.
